Stories for living

Hugo

Abstract

Hugo is a little pug who has been abandoned. Sad and scared, he worries no one will want him. Thankfully, he is adopted by a kind family, but Hugo has a long way to go before he can learn to trust again.

A heartwarming story designed to teach kids about animal neglect.

Highlights

  • Theme: A book that depicts the consequences of abandoning an animal, from the point of view of an adorable dog.
  • Illustrations: The beautiful images are reminiscent of Disney’s Little Golden Books, and the colour palette adapts to the changing seasons.
  • Creator: While Catherine Braun-Grenier already had a style all her own, Hugo is her very first book! She had the incredible opportunity to be mentored by illustrator Geneviève Godbout.
